Fred Allan McManis, age 52, of Wellston, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, at his home.  He was born May 8, 1970 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late James Clyde McManis and Kay Frances Cottrill McManis.  Fred enjoyed going hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.  He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Amy Poe; sons, Tyler Poe and Jeremy McManis; siblings, Ruth Remy, Steve McManis and Gary Scarrett; along with 1 grandson.  Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by brothers, James McManis and Mike Scarrett; and sister, Janet McManis.  Calling hours will be Thursday, November 3rd, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Pastor Michael Jadrnicek officiating.  In keeping with Fred's wishes, cremation will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the McWilliams Funeral Home to help with expenses.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
