Fred Edward Wilson, Sr. age 79, of Coalton, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Hospice of Central Ohio at OSU Main Hospital.  He was born February 27, 1946 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Harley J. Wilson and Oleda Irene Saltz Manson.  Fred was a 1964 graduate of Allensville High School and a proud veteran of the United States Navy who served during the Vietnam War.  He was a laborer for most of his life who enjoyed reading and spending lots of time sitting on his porch.  He is survived by his sons, Fred Wilson, Jr. (Kelly) and David Wilson (Christine), all of Logan; brother, Harley "Jim" Wilson; sister, Elsie Williams; along with 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sister, Sue "Pokey" Wilson.  Fred requested that cremation follow his passing and no services be held.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
