Freda Faye Castor, age 91, of Hamden, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at her home.  She was born November 18, 1931 in Dundas, Ohio.  Freda was a former employee at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Logan.  In later years, she was the owner and operator of Castor's Ceramics and Flowers in Hamden.  Freda was a talented artist who loved making ceramics, painting, and working outside in her flower gardens.  She attended Lakeview Baptist Church in Hamden.  Freda is survived by her children, Francis "Bud" Castor (Pam) of Catlettsburg, Ky., Jo-Ann Faye Warren of Hamden and Roger Eugene Castor of Wellston; grandchildren, Diane Beckner (Greg) of Wellston, Brian Castor (Sandy) of Catlettsburg, Ky., Teri Marshall (John) of Catlettsburg, Ky., Wayne Warren of Hamden and Tiffany Lemle (Trent) of Hamden; sister-in-law, Esther Bell of McArthur; along with 10 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Freda was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Frank and Lola Pierce; husband, Francis Castor, Sr. in 2011; brothers, Homer Nettles and Gomer Nettles; as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  Calling hours will be Thursday, November 2nd, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
