Gary L. Hubbard, age 71, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born April 4, 1952 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late James E. Hubbard and Pearl M. Vincent Hubbard.  Gary graduated from Wellston High School and retired from Hendrickson Trucking Company.  He was a simple man who loved spending time with his family.  Gary enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be riding his Harley motorcycle or hunting and fishing.  Gary was also a huge Ohio State Buckeye's fan who enjoyed cheering on the Buckeyes.  He is survived by his children, Tonja Moore, Garrett Hubbard, and Sarah Hubbard; grandchildren, Dakota, Sariah, Danica, Leilah, Garrett, Ethan, Carolyn, Skyler, and Brinley; great-grandchildren, Parker, Asher, and Willow; brothers, Jim Hubbard, John Hubbard, and Mike Hubbard; sisters, Margie Brooks, Cathy Hubbard, and Sandy Arnet; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sisters, Becky Hubbard and Donna Hubbard.  Calling hours will be Thursday, February 1st, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Pastor David Collins officiating.  In keeping with Gary's wishes, cremation will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
