George Junior Baxter, age 73, of McArthur, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Chillicothe Post Acute Care Facility.  He was born September 12, 1952 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late George Baxter, Sr. and Freda Burris Baxter.  George was a former employee of Luiginos in Jackson where he was a forklift operator.  In his spare time he enjoyed taking rides, going out to eat, cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes, and visiting with friends at the Eagles Lodge in McArthur.  George is survived by several nieces and nephews including Mike Lowry of Chillicothe, and special friends, Peggy Blair of Chillicothe and Michelle Partee of McArthur.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, 2 sisters, and 2 infant siblings.  In keeping with George's request, there will be no services and cremation followed his passing.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
