George Arnold Cook, age 72, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at his home.  He was born August 10, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio son of the late George Russell Cook and Donna Marie Bowshier Cook. George was a minister and a man of God who loved the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, farming, and the outdoors. He loved his dog, Precious and his cat, Patches very much. George is survived by his children, Jeannie Cochron (Eddie), Amy Cook (Brian Bailey), George Cook II, Joshua Cook, and Gabriel Cook; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale Cook; brother-in-law, Ernie Shreck; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Vicki Shreck and John Cook. Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 13th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. In keeping with George's wishes, cremation will follow the service.
