George Michael "Murph" Murphy, Jr., age 47, of Londonderry, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, from injuries received in an automobile accident in Ross County. He was born March 19, 1972 in Athens, Ohio to George Michael Murphy, Sr. and Shelba Jean Barney Murphy. Murph was self-employed; he often referred to himself as a jack of all trades, and a master of none. Murph was a hardworking man who enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his girls. He is survived by his mother, Shelba Murphy of Radcliff; his wife of 24 years, Yvonne Lynn Estepp Murphy of Londonderry; daughters, Savannah Bay (Austin), Gabby Murphy and Sara Murphy, all of Londonderry; his "unbiological daughter", Grace Lemay of New Plymouth; granddaughters, Brandalynn "Punkie" Bay and Jasmine Bay; grandmothers, Ora Barney of Radcliff and Betty Murphy of Cheshire; step-siblings, Tayna White of Delaware, Chad White (Marcy) of Delaware and Lisa Howard (Ricky) of Marion; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George Michael Murphy, Sr.; and grandfathers, Earl Barney and Joe Murphy. Calling hours will be Friday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the callings hours at 1 P.M. with Pastor Ed Barney officiating.
