Gina Mcknight
Parks
April 10, 1978 – April 3, 2025
Gina Michelle McKnight Parks, age 46, of Pataskala, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Tuscany Gardens Nursing Facility in Pataskala. She was born April 10, 1978 in Columbus, Ohio to her beloved parents, Rev. Roy David McKnight and Viola Elizabeth "Tootsie" Marcum McKnight. Gina graduated from Vinton County High School with the class of 1996. Shopping, running, cooking, laughing or playing a good-natured joke, and drinking coffee were among her favorite hobbies. She also enjoyed traveling and treasured time with her family, especially her children. Gina's sweet, fun-loving and sometimes ornery personality was loved by all. Throughout her life, Gina attended the Free Will Baptist Church. She appreciated a personal relationship with Jesus, her Savior, and she always enjoyed going to church. Her most-precious life scripture passage was Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV): …do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Gina is survived by her children, Ronald Eugene Henthorn III, Sidney Brooke Henthorn, and Keaton Alexis Henthorn; siblings, Timothy McKnight (Annette), Deanna Blythe (Jeremy) and Lori Byers; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Gina was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Regenia McKnight and Joseph and Stella Marcum. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 12th, at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where family and friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Huntington's Disease Society of America at hdsa.org.
