Gregory George "Greg" Scarberry, age 54, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born March 13, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio, the only son and youngest child of the late George Scarberry and Clara Ann Smathers Scarberry.  Greg graduated from Vinton County High School with the class of 1991.  He was a retired truck driver who was employed with Active USA.  Greg was a hardworking man who loved waking up to the smell of coffee and diesel fuel.  He never met a stranger, and his ornery grin was entertaining to all that knew him.  Throughout the years, Greg inspired many boys to be better men.  He was a weather enthusiast who was always checking on the weather forecast.  When he wasn't working, Greg enjoyed traveling, rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State Buckeyes, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Alex.  Greg is survived by his wife of 12 years, Cathy Ousley Scarberry; sons, Nicholas Wilson (Maranda) of Albany and Brandon Wilson of McArthur; grandson, Alex Gregory Wilson; sisters, Carol Whaley (David) of McArthur, Kim Jeffries (Ray) of Wellston, and Lois Storms of McArthur; brother-in-law, Mike Gilliland of McArthur; and niece and nephews, James Kille, Kevin Vorhees, Michael Gilliland, Megan Carr, Roy Lincoln, and Eric Storms.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Gilliland.  In keeping with Greg's wishes, cremation followed his passing.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
