Herbert Rolf "Herb" Simon, age 69, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio.  He was born October 19, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Rolf Simon and Ruby Marie Cyrus Simon.  Herb was a veteran of the United States Army who served as a military policeman stationed in Germany.  He loved to have family barbeques, loved his music, and loved playing pool.  Herb had a wonderful laugh and a fun sense of humor.  He loved his family and will be missed very much by everyone.  Herb is survived by children, Herbert R. Jr. and Gretta Marie; sister, Mary Stacy; niece, Alyce Sullivan; nephews, Sean Stacy and George Stacy; along with grandchildren and other nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Howard Rice, and sisters, Shirley Henthorn and Garnetta Fitchpatrick.  In keeping with Herb's wishes, cremation followed his passing.  Burial will be in the Cyrus Family Cemetery in Louisa, Kentucky.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
