Ivan Marquis

  Ivan Dale Marquis, age 83, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at his home. He was born May 21, 1943 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late William Andrew Marquis and Goldie Marie Sorrell Marquis. Ivan was a 1961 graduate of Wellston High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force who served during the Vietnam era. Ivan was a former sheet metal worker having retired from Lockheed Martin, also know as USEC (United States Enrichment Corporation). He was a member of the Black Diamond Lodge #538 F&AM of Wellston. Ivan is survived by his son, Michael S. Marquis, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marie Marquis, and his brothers, John Marquis, James Marquis, and Gilbert Marquis. Calling hours will be Friday, September 25, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Graveside service, with military honors, will follow the calling hours at 1:30 p.m. at Ridgewood Cemetery with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.
