Janet L. Kincaid

Janet L. Kincaid, age 63, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at her home following a long, hard-fought battle with cancer since 2008. She was born November 10, 1962 in Marysville, Ohio to the late Richard D. Hollingshead Sr. and Norma M. Weber Hollingshead. In years past, Janet was employed as a florist at Mayhew Flower Shop in Jackson. Whether it be picking berries, hunting mushrooms, or working in her flower garden, Janet enjoyed nature, especially the fall season. But her true passion was found in the love she had for her family as a loving wife, mother and gram. A birthday or holiday rarely passed that didn’t feature a meal prepared by Janet, which is why her favorite holiday was, by far, Thanksgiving. Janet is survived by her husband of 46 years Rick Kincaid; her daughter Michelle Thompson (Phillip) and her son Andrew Kincaid; grandchildren, Braley Thompson, Madilyn Thompson, Macy Thompson and Landon Kincaid; siblings, Paul Hollingshead (Diane), Richard Hollingshead (Nancy), Chris Fraley and Mark Hollingshead (Kim); sister-in-law Judy Hollingshead; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her twin sister Joan Hollingshead, brother Jim Hollingshead and brother-in-law Mike Fraley. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 28, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery.
