Jean E. (Grant) Mahley Haybron, age 81, of Union Furnace, and a former resident of Wellston, passed away while surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.  She was born June 25, 1943 in Wellston, Ohio, daughter of the late Wilfred F. Grant and Hazel F. Merrill Grant.  Jean was a 1961 graduate of Wellston High School.  Following 33 years of employment, she retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Logan.  Jean was an award-winning Avon representative who enjoyed taking care of her cats and going to lunch every Saturday with her family.  She was an avid Jeff Gordon fan and a member of the Wellston American Legion Post 371 Ladies Auxiliary.  Jean is survived by her sons, Carey Mahley and Matthew Mahley, both of Wellston; grandchildren, Megan Montgomery (Kevin), Drew Jenkins, Ricky Morrison, Jake Mahley, Derek Chaney, Brady Dunfee, and Hailey Dunfee; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Dewey, and Parker, along with 1 niece, 1 nephew, and several step-children, step-grandchildren, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Haybron; daughter, Kelly Mahley Herald; and brothers, Carey Grant and Sid Grant.  Calling hours will be Thursday, January 23rd, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Friday, January 24th, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Emerson Montgomery officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
