Jean Henry

  Jean Henry, age 84, of Wellston, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, at Hospice of Central Ohio at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born November 24, 1941 in Radcliff, Ohio, daughter of the late John W. Canode and Sylvia G. Wiseman Canode. Jean was a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who in her spare time enjoyed going to yard sales, sitting on the porch and chatting with her family, and spending time with her beloved dogs. Jean was a dedicated Christian who attended The Wellston First Church of the Nazarene for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Paula Jean Sheets, Cathy Jo Bush, Sally Marlene Brown and Kelly Christine King; sister, Sally See, along with 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Rich” Henry in 2018; daughter, Diana Henry Hughes; infant sister, Sylvia Canode; brothers, Tim Canode, Harley Canode, Joe Canode and Richard “Dick” Canode; as well as 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 22, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.
