Jeffrey Allen "Jeff" Royster, age 61, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at his home.  He was born June 21, 1961 in Waverly, Ohio, son of the late Vernon Gene Royster and Georgia Ruth Keaton Royster.  Jeff attended Wellston High School with the class of 1979.  While in high school he was a talented athlete who enjoyed playing basketball and baseball.  He was a member of the Brick Layers Union, of which he was employed for over 30 years.  Jeff had an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston and member and past President of the Sons of the American Legion.  He loved sports of all types but was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.  Jeff was quite charming with a gorgeous smile and a great sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.  Jeff is survived by his children, Joshua Royster, Nikki Royster, D.J. Royster and Blake Royster; siblings, Randy Royster (Bobbie), John Royster (Michele) and Cheryl Leach; along with 7 grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Royster.  Calling hours will be Monday, December 19th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
