Jessie L. Channell, age 72, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.  She was born July 5, 1950 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late James Edward Vititoe and Florence Ireland Vititoe.  In years past, Jessie was employed at Jeno's in Wellston, as well as being a nurse's aide at area nursing facilities.  She always enjoyed taking walks and watching soap operas on T.V.  Jessie is survived by daughter, Joyce Ramos of Freemont; son, Shawn Baxter of Athens; along with 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.  A family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Jessie's life.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
