James Edward "Jim" Willis, Sr., age 77, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home.  He was born November 15, 1948 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Edward Albert Willis and Lee Anna Mae Lewis Willis.  Jim graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1966.  He was the former owner and operator of Willis Brother's Carpet in Wellston, after which he was employed by Stockmeister Enterprises for several years.  Jim was considered a "jack of all trades".  He was a good carpenter and mechanic and enjoyed helping with the family farm.  Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte Ann Wilt Willis; sons, Jim Willis, Jr. and Brian Willis; brother, John Willis; sister, Martha Willis; along with 3 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Steve Willis, and brothers, Larry Willis and Dick Willis.  In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation followed his passing.  Calling hours will be Monday, February 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A memorial service will follow the calling hours at 6 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be given to a favorite charity of one's choice in Jim's memory.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
