Retta Jo Vande Linde, age 89, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Four Winds Care Community in Jackson.  She was born January 7, 1935 in Prenter, West Virginia, daughter of the late James E. Kitzmiller and Myrtle M. Castle Kitzmiller.  Jo, as she was known by many, was a homemaker who loved reading books and enjoyed working in her flower gardens and cooking.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson.  Jo is survived by her daughter, Lisa Vande Linde of Jackson, and cousin, Ruthann Dingess and husband Bill, of Charleston, West Virginia.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Vande Linde in 2000, and sister, Delores Gobble.  Private graveside service will be held Friday, November 15th, at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson with Chaplain Kevin Greene officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jo's memory can be given to National Church Residences Hospice, 807 Western Avenue, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.  Lisa would like to thank the staff and special nurse Shelly at Four Winds Community, along with the hospice staff of National Church Residences for the wonderful care given to her mother.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
