Karen Lee Ervin, age 79, of Wellston, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. She was born December 9, 1946 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Earl Cleveland Barney and Ora Faye Perry Barney. Karen graduated from Wilton High School in Wilkesville with the class of 1964. In years past, Karen worked at Perdue's Five & Dime and was a teacher's aide and substitute teacher with Wellston City Schools. Back in the day, she enjoyed singing at church and was an excellent seamstress who loved to sew, having made her children's childhood clothing as well as her daughter's prom dresses. Karen loved to shop, and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert G. "Bob" Ervin, Jr.; son, Rob Ervin (Tonya); daughter, Kara Dawn Ervin; grandsons, Colton (Jenna), Caden, and Cyan (Lauren); great-granddaughter, Azena Hope Ervin; siblings, Pam, Shelba, Vicki, Randy, David, Ed, Jerry and Mike, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be Saturday, February 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at World Outreach Ministries in Wellston. A Celebration of Going Home Service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Karen's son, Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
