Kathy Sue Dye, age 60, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson.  She was born August 27, 1964 in Wellston, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank "Sag" Brown and Gertrude Maxine McNellis Brown.  Kathy was a 1983 graduate of Wellston High School and Buckeye Hills Career Center.  Following several years of employment, she retired from the Mushroom Plant in Jackson.  Kathy loved traveling to Tennessee and trips to the beach.  She also enjoyed camping,  playing Bingo, attending family sporting events, as well as any time spent with her family.  Kathy had a strong Christian faith and was a member of the Wellston Free Will Baptist Church.  She is survived by her son, Michael L. "Mikey" Dye, Jr.; grandson, Kayden Michael Dye; siblings, Alvis Brown (Debbie), Larry Brown, Anthony Brown (Sally), Tim Brown, and Gary Brown; mother-in-law, Wanda Dye; brother-in-law, Anthony "Kim" Dye, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Michael L. Dye, Sr. in 2023; siblings, Tom Brown, Judy Tate, Connie Bush, Bob "Skinner" Brown, Tillie Clark, and Joyce Brown; father-in-law, Bill Dye; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda Brown, Debbie Brown, George Bush, Bobby Clark, and Todd Dye.  Calling hours will be Friday, April 25th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Don Kincaid officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
