Kenneth C. Griffith

  Kenneth C. “Kenny” Griffith, age 70, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born December 7, 1955 in Vinton, Ohio, son of the late Oscar P. Griffith and Mary Ruth Banks Griffith. Kenny graduated from North Gallia High School with the class of 1973. He was a retired lineman and general foreman with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local #71. Family was very important to Kenny. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and you couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver to his wife. In his spare time, Kenny enjoyed riding his side by side and taking chances on being a lottery ticket winner. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan E. DePue Griffith; daughter, Jody Sherrick (Jessie); grandchildren, Kassandra Howell (Roy), Blake Griffith, Victoria May (Devin Ferrell), Bryson Nichols (Heaven Saunders). Maycee Griffith and Koltyn Griffith; great-grandchildren, Ella Howell and Livi May; brothers, Jack Griffith (Sharon) and Oscar Griffith (Tammy); sisters, Judy Bennett (Earl), Melody Stumbo and Dorothy Cavins (James), along with several nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephew, Lisa Bowliing, Barbie Swisher, Trisha Keplar and Robbie Keplar. Besides his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Griffith; daughter, Jennifer May; brothers, Charles Griffith and Rob Griffith; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Deloris DePue. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Friday, June 12, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Benson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur.
