Kevin Dwayne Young, age 46, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 27, 2025, at his home.  He was born November 12, 1978 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Dennis W. Young and Suedell Shepherd Young.  Kevin graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1997 and later received an associate degree in physical therapy from Hocking College.  He was employed as a physical therapy assistant at Maple Hills Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in McArthur.  Kevin always enjoyed riding his side by side, hunting and fishing with his dad and uncles, and he absolutely loved being outside cutting firewood with his friends. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed rooting for the Cleveland Browns and the Michigan Wolverines.  Kevin is survived by his parents, Dennis and Suedell Young; wife, Erin E. Leach Young; daughter, Kaci L. Young; stepdaughter, Lauren E. Hinsch; sister and brother-in-law, Dori and Jason Hutchison; nephews, Brady Hutchison, Tyler Young and Joshua Newman; great-nephews, Rylan Young and Lincoln Young; parents-in-law, David and Jane Leach and Jeanne and Louis Jindra, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends, including special best friends, Doug Sprague and Jerod Wilbur.  Kevin was preceded in death by his sister, Shannan Lee Young Newman; grandparents, Vet and Marcella Young and Fred and Aileen Shepherd; and close cousin, Bradley Young.  Calling hours will be Friday, January 31st, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in the Byer Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funerahome.com.
