February 12, 1961 – July 5, 2025
Kim Saltsman, age 64, of Wellston, passed away at her home on Saturday July, 5, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born February 12, 1961 to the late Leo and Sadie "Ousley" Steele in Wellston, Ohio. Kim was heavily involved with the Right to Life movement and the American Cancer Society. She was also a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston for 46 years. Kim owned and operated Saltsman's Insurance Company in Wellston for many years. Kim always had a passion for taking care of all children. She would welcome them into her home and became the neighborhood Mom to many kids throughout the years. Kim is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Bruce Saltsman; sons, Eric (Jay Vedder) Saltsman and Tyler (Kala) Saltsman; siblings, Grace (Bob) Riffle and Phillip Steele; granddaughter, Lorelai Saltsman; mother-in-law, Betty Saltsman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews that called her "Aunt Kimmy". Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Beatrice Beverly, Janice Newman, Nancy Loudermilk, Randy Steele and Jackie Molihan. Also preceding in death was her father-in-law, Joe Saltsman.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 9th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 10th at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Nate DeRochie officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to please make a memorial donation in Kim's name to the Huntington's Disease Society of America at: www.hdsa.org (http://www.hdsa.org/)
