Kimberly Jane Riggs

  Kimberly Jane Riggs, age 62, of Ray, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at her home. She was born March 9, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late James I. Evans and Bettie Jane Hardesty Evans. Kim retired from the Hilliard City School District where she was employed as a school bus driver for several years. Kim, a true free spirit, lived an unapologetic life guided by her own standards and strong-willed heart. She embraced a gypsy lifestyle but always kept her family at the center of her world. She loved her three girls and extended family fiercely and found her greatest peace at home surrounded by her adored fur babies and the garden that she loved to tend. Kim is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Caplinger (Candice), Elizabethann Jane Moore (Chad) and Samantha Marie Lucas (Nate); grandchildren, Kayla Jane, Kinsey, Hayden, Sophia, Hayleigh, Sabrina and Coen; great-granddaughter, Kover; brothers, Steve Evans (Cheryl) and John Evans (Danese); lifelong companion, Jack Clary, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Trimmer. In keeping with Kim’s wishes, cremation followed her passing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Kim’s memory be given to the Jackson County Dog Pound, P.O. Box 606, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
