Landon Brice Cantrell-Coleman, age 13, of Hamden, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, from injuries received in a tragic vehicle accident.  He was born November 27, 2010 in Chillicothe, Ohio to James Michael Coleman and Kayla Renee Cantrell.  Landon had just completed his 7th grade year at Vinton County Middle School where he was actively involved with basketball, football, and cross country.  Landon had a big loving and compassionate heart.  He was a mother hen to others and was always looking out for those younger than him.  Landon loved everyone and everyone loved Landon.  He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers and going on trips with his dad on their Side-by-Side.  Landon loved animals and going hunting and fishing.  He was a big gamer and especially enjoyed playing on his play station.  Landon is survived by his parents, Kayla Cantrell and Quintin Rhodes, and James Coleman and Alexis Reid; siblings, Layton Cantrell-Rhodes, Mogley Cantrell-Rhodes, and Darcie Robinson; grandparents, Frank and Shelia Cantrell, Janie and Donald Hamilton, and Dottie Rhodes; great-grandfather, Dave Clark; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Phyllis Cantrell; grandfathers, Jimmy Coleman and Ron Rhodes; great-grandparents, Buck and Eleanor Betts and Ann Clark; and aunt, Sandy Knox.  Calling hours will be Friday, May 31st, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 1st, at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Landon's friends and Don Mullins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mullins Family Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
