Larry J. Booth, age 80, of Zaleski, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at his home. He was born June 13, 1944 in Zaleski, Ohio, son of the late Glenn and Eleanor (Rhodes) Booth. Larry was a 1963 graduate of Zaleski High School. He was a machinist who retired from U-Brand Corp./Pentair, where he was employed for several years. Following retirement, he was employed by Madison Township in Zaleski. In his spare time, Larry loved to go fishing and enjoyed camping, hunting ginseng, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 60 years, Shirley Mae Burley Booth; children, Robin Renee Booth (Larry Chacey), Larry Booth, Jr. (Carla Jackson), and Amy Jo Colvin (Terrance); sisters, Patty Coffey (Larry), Sheryl Tripp, Rosie Rider, and Wilma Knipfer (Frank); along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special fishing buddies, John Burley and Darcie Briggs. Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by brothers, Bob Booth and Bill Booth, and sisters, Mary Lou Morrison, Joan Tripp, and Betty Perry. In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation followed his passing. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be given to Larry's wife to help with medical expenses.
