Larry
Coleman
May 28, 1947 – May 19, 2024
Larry Lee Coleman, age 76, of McArthur, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 28, 1947 in Majestic, Kentucky, son of the late Amos and Carrie (Cline) Coleman. Larry was self-employed and owned an autobody shop, "Country Body Shop", in Columbus, for 40 years. Following his retirement, he found joy in buying and remodeling houses. He was a hardworking family man who took pride in his family and would make sure they always had whatever they needed. Larry was a devoted husband to Betty for 58 years. He would do anything within his power and ability to make sure Betty was taken care of and had everything she needed in life. Together they grew, loved, and raised a family. If you saw Larry around, you knew Betty wasn't far behind. They were inseparable. They were soulmates. To say they loved each other until the end would be an understatement. He was also a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He looked forward to seeing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took pride in making memories with them. Larry attended Liberty Christian Center in Jackson. He had a strong relationship with the Lord and never questioned his faith. Larry never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing with others stories of his life. He may be gone from this earth, but he lives on through the people and hearts he has touched. Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Ann Bailey Coleman; children, Angie Coleman (David Johnson), Nicole Coleman (Paul Winkler), James Coleman (Kimberly), and Sarah Coleman; grandchildren, Brandon Coleman (Paige), Betty Coleman (Nathan McManis), Destiny Coleman (Jaiman Bentley), twins, Isaiah and Daniel Winkler, DJ Coleman and Joshua Coleman; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, John "Cecil" Coleman; sister, Patricia Coleman; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, those awaiting Larry's arrival in Heaven were his infant son, Anthony Coleman; grandson, Jeremy Coleman; great-grandchildren, Shelisa Coleman and Mason Coleman; and siblings, Roy Coleman, Onita Hall, Sherman Coleman, Emzie Coleman, Marie Wolford, Judy Ferrell, Geraldine Blankenship, Mabel Hayton, and Alice Prater. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 23rd, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Burley Muncy officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
