Larry E. Currier, age 72, of Hamden, passed away Tuesday morning, April 2, 2024, at his home.  He was born December 22, 1951 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Robert E. Currier and Doris "Sugar" Harrison Currier.  Larry was a 1970 graduate of Chillicothe High School.  He started working at Meade Corporation in 1988 and following 27 years of employment at the paper mill, he retired from Glatfelter in 2015.  Larry was a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the races.  He also enjoyed doing yard work, decorating for Christmas, and watching the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.  Larry is survived by his wife, Linda G. Long Currier; sons, Joshua E. Currier (Megan) and Patrick R. Currier (Morgan); step-children, Tina Scurlock (Clinton Betts), Jason Scurlock (Rachel), Megan Schlabach, and Josh Scurlock; siblings, Terry Currier, Polly Ackley (Duane), and Karen Clark; along with 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Stonerock.  Calling hours will be Friday, April 5th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
