Larry Robert "Bob" Davis, age 85, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at his home.  One of eleven children, he was born September 30, 1936 in Greenup, Kentucky to the late Ulysses Taft Davis and Bertha Alice Dillow Davis.  Bob graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1956 and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp who served in the Mediterranean.  Years ago, Bob was a supervisor at Columbus Stove.  He enjoyed harness racing and was an avid sports fan who loved cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes.  Bob is survived by his siblings, Clyde Taft Davis (Linda) of Gallipolis, Joyce Kay Armentrout of Wellston, Howard Johnson "John" Davis of Wellston and Mary Roxie Liming of Wellston, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Davis and Doris Davis; and brothers, William Vincent "Bill" Davis, James Arthur Davis, Arnold Ray Davis and Hubert Wilson Davis.  Calling hours will be Saturday, August 27th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Burial, with military honors, will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
