Laurie Ann Short, age 51, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born December 17, 1968 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Ralph Wells and Phyllis Jean Welch Wells. Laurie enjoyed reading and working puzzles.  She is survived by her brother, Robert Michael Wells, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.  In keeping with Laurie's wishes, her body was cremated.  A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
