Linda D. Maxwell, age 60, of McArthur, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Ohio Health's Hospice Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born June 16, 1964 in McArthur, Ohio, daughter of the late John L. Maxwell and Maudie M. Brown Maxwell.  Linda was always the life of the party and fun to be around.  She was an animal lover who loved taking care of her precious fur babies as well as spending time with her friends and family, especially her bestie granddaughter, Carly.  Linda enjoyed being outdoors, working in her flowers, going shopping, and vacations on the beach.  She is survived by her children, Jessie Sechkar, and husband Sam, of Athens and Michael Ousley of McArthur; granddaughter, Carly Sechkar; longtime companion, John Reiter of McArthur; siblings, John Boy Maxwell, Robert Maxwell (Kelly), John Alvis (Mary), Angie Maxwell, Bonnie Maxwell, Diane Easterday, and Marilyn Day, along with several nieces, nephews, special friends, Kendra Peck and Chris Willard, and her 3 cherished yorkies, Bella, Tyson, and Dolly.  Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her son, John Paul Cecil; brothers, Jerry Maxwell, Herb Maxwell, and Ricky Maxwell; and special niece and nephew, Mindy Maxwell and Nathan Maxwell.  The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Kobacker and to Nel and Arfie at Grant Medical Center's ICU for the care Linda received over the last three weeks.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 13th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Griffith officiating.  Burial will be in the Log Pile Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Linda's memory be given to the Vinton County Dog Shelter, 31479 St. Rt. 93, McArthur, Ohio 45651.  Following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to a reception celebrating Linda's life at the Vinton County Fairgrounds at 4 p.m.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
