Macie Lou Parker, age 77, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.  She was born October 8, 1945 in West Virginia to the late Macie Aliff, having been 1 of 13 children.  Macie Lou was a loving homemaker who enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening, and going to flea markets.  She never had children of her own, but she loved everyone else's children.  Macie Lou never met a stranger, made friends with everyone, and always had a hug to be given.  She is survived by her longtime companion for many years, John W. Peoples; siblings, Nancy Saulsbery, Richard Mann, Ralph Aliff, Jenalene Aliff, Charles Aliff, Elaine Harding, Howard Tinney, and Carolyn Jones; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Besides her mother, Macie Lou was preceded in death by siblings, Ruby Dalton, James Aliff, Irma Woody, and Kathy Runyon.  Calling hours will be Sunday, October 1st, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  In keeping with Macie Lou's request, cremation will follow the calling hours.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
