Margie Henry Sprague, age 88, of Wellston, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at her home. She was born August 3, 1937 in Wellston, Ohio to the late William R. Whiting and Nelvie A. Radcliff Whiting. Margie was a 1955 graduate of Wellston High School. She was an excellent seamstress who retired from the Pants Factory after 35 years of employment. Margie was a member of the American Legion Post 371 Ladies’ Auxiliary and enjoyed attending the Legion for a good game of Euchre. She exercised her love of dance, especially square dancing and line dancing, as a member of the Wagon Wheelers. When she was able, Margie regularly attended Grace Baptist Fellowship in Wellston and the Wellston Senior Citizens. She is survived by her husband, David B. Sprague; grandchildren, Jason Henry, Jennifer Davis (Tony Costello), Chad Davis (Mandy), and Wesley Henry; great-grandchildren, Blake, Allie, Emma and Jade; great-great-grandchildren, Asher and Maddox; special sister-in-law, Irene Whiting; special niece, Glenna Ferris, as well as several other nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Henry; her three children, Pete Henry, Randy Henry, Joyce Davis and her husband, Tinker; siblings, Carl Whiting, William Whiting, Juanita Hall and Carolyn Tipton. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 7, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Monday, June 8, at 1:00 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.
