Marjorie L. Bayes, age 75, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Edgewood Manor in Wellston.  She was born October 10, 1949 in Jackson, Ohio to the late John D. Wilbur and Shirley A. Leach Wilbur.  Marjorie was a 1968 graduate of Vinton County High school and later graduated from Southeastern Business College.  She was a housewife and homemaker and former nurse's aide at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden.  Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as going to Bingo, playing cards, and going to the casino.  She is survived by her children, Doug Wilbur and Christy Bayes (Ben Edmisten); grandchildren, Christopher Edmisten (Holly), Ashton Hall (Nate), and Brock Wilbur; great-granddaughter, Waverly Blake Edmisten; sister, Martha Wilbur; brother, John A. Wilbur (Phila), along with several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Wayne "Butch" Bayes in 2022; and brothers, Larry Wilbur, Roger Wilbur, Ronnie Wilbur, and Ralph Wilbur.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 28th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
