Martha Marie "Marty" Sorrell, age 68, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 2, 2020, following fighting a battle with cancer.  She was born December 21, 1951 in McArthur, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles Fletcher and Helen Mitchell Webb.  Marty was a loving housewife, mother and wonderful person who enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.  She especially loved to hear her cousin, Paul "Ink" Clemons sing and play music.  Marty is survived by her husband, Phillip Franklin Sorrell; step-father, Paul Webb, whom raised her; 4 children, David Longworth, Karen Longworth and Angie Penrod, all of Vinton, and Judy Kline of Florida; brothers, Don Fletcher (Judy) of Xenia and Terry Fletcher of Vinton; sister, Darlene Shipman of Franklin; as well as 8 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and her special friend, Joan Thacker.  Besides her parents, Marty was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Webb and Bunny Brown; and her brother, Charles Fletcher.  Funeral service will be Monday, July 6, 2020, at 1 P.M. at the Vinton Chapel Church, Vinton Station Road, McArthur, with Pastor David Peoples officiating.  Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will follow in the Cardwell Family Cemetery in Vinton.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
