Mary Lou Harper, age 86, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Ayden Healthcare of Jackson.  She was born July 22, 1935 in Pikeville, Kentucky, daughter of the late D.M. Stewart and Maggie L. Howell Stewart.  Mary Lou was a 1954 graduate of McArthur High School.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, who worked the polls for the Vinton County Board of Elections for over 40 years.  Mary Lou always enjoyed time with her family and friends, and she was also a past member of the Clinton Sewing Club.  She is survived by her children, Deanna Robinette of McArthur, Jeffrey L. Harper (Rose) of Hamden, and Becky Trimiar (Fred) of Hartford, Kentucky; grandchildren, Dustin Robinette (Tricia) of McArthur, and Derek Trent (Casey) of Texas; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Paige Harper Robinette and Dante, Daisy and Dorothy Trent; brother, Edward Stewart (Barbara) of Columbus; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Howard L. Harper in 2014; granddaughter, Brittany Harper; daughter-in-law, Kristy Harper; son-in-law, Dean Robinette; brother, Chester Stewart; and sisters, Janie Kendrick and Opal Davis.  Calling hours will be Monday, February 21 ^st , from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor James Dimel officiating.  Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhgome.com.
