Mary Ann Scurlock, age 56, of Hamden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 23, 2025, following a courageous 3 month battle with cancer.  She was born to Hughie M. Scurlock and Mona Lee McWilliams Scurlock on May 14, 1968 in Gallipolis, Ohio.  Mary Ann was a 1986 graduate of Wellston High School where she led the Wellston High School Marching Golden Rockets as field commander both her junior and senior years.  She was a Quality Specialist at Tigerpoly Manufacturing in Grove City where she was employed for 25 years.  Mary Ann had a strong Christian faith that started at a young age while attending her grandparent's church in Puritan and she carried that faith throughout her life.  She was blessed with a beautiful voice and shared that with others through her singing ministry.  Mary Ann was also a talented artist who enjoyed painting and making crafts.  She loved to cook, with her specialty being homemade noodles and bread.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her mother and sister.  Mary Ann is survived by her mother, Mona Lee Scurlock; sister, Linda Lee Scurlock, as well as several cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Hughie Scurlock, and grandparents, Hugh and Margaret Scurlock and Paul and Goldie McWilliams.  Calling hours will be Thursday, February 27th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Keith Mullins and Pastor Tim Mullins officiating.  Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please give contributions to the Vinton County Cancer Research Group, c/o Randy Yates, 410 McArthur Ave., McArthur, Ohio 45651.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
