Maxine Harris, age 71, of Wellston, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2020, from the Jenkins Care Community in Wellston.  She was born May 7, 1948 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Pearl and Gladys Seymour.  Maxine was a 1966 graduate of Vinton County High School.  She was a housewife and homemaker who enjoyed canning and spending time with her family.  Maxine is survived by her daughter, Melissa "Missy" Harris of Wellston, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Franklin Harris; daughter, Kimberly Ellen Harris; sisters, Betty, Becky and infant sister, Patty Sue; and brothers, Ray, Pearl and Clarence Seymour.  Calling hours will be Monday from 11 A.M. to 1 PM. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 P.M. with Evangelist Jack Marcum and Pastor Dick Moore officiating.  Burial will be in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur.
