Melissa Kay Gilliland, age 45, of Hamden, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at her residence. She was born April 30, 1975 in Gallipolis, Ohio, to the late Carl Allen Beabout and Annetta Leach Beabout who survives.  Melissa was a 1993 graduate of Vinton County High School and went on to get her associate degree from Southeastern Business College.  Melissa was a member of Puritan Freewill Baptist Church.  She was a kind soul who would give you anything she had.  Melissa will be missed by her family and friends.  Melissa is survived by her mother, twin sons, Ryan and Derrick Gilliland, sister, Katie Perry, brother, Stagerlee Beabout (Missy), grandparents, Norman and Carrie Powell, best friends, Tina Leach and Sonya McManis and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Melissa was preceded in death by her father.  A memorial visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2020 from 12-1pm at the Puritan Freewill Baptist Church, 38542 State Route 160, Hamden, Ohio with a memorial service to follow.  Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
