Michael Waldron

The world just became a darker place on August 6th,2026, the day our beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and most importantly, father, Michael Waldron, passed away. Michael was born in Lorain, Ohio, on February 9th, 1997, to Mother, Melanie Waldron, and father, Greg Williams. After moving to Wellston, he attended Wellston Middle School, and Wellston High School and Buckeye Hills Career Center, graduating with the class of 2015. Though his life was far too short, it was filled with love, laughter, and devotion to those who mattered most, especially his two beautiful daughters, Emilia Rose and Phynix Skye. These two little girls were his greatest joy, and gave purpose to his life. Michael fell into the role of “girl dad” like he was born to play that part. He wasn’t afraid to tackle anything, from changing diapers, to bedtime baths, to fixing their hair, putting them in pretty dresses, and taking them places by himself. He loved his babies fiercely, and cherished every moment spent with them. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love will continue to live on through them, and his family will make sure they never forget how he cherished every moment spent with them. Michael had a rare gift for making everyone feel like family, and his circle of friends was more than just a group of companions- they were brothers bound by loyalty, laughter, and countless memories, especially Warren Silcott, Austin Bryan, Samuel Tribble and Justin Wood. His kindness, generous heart, and unwavering willingness to help others earned him the love and respect of so many. Anyone who knew Michael, knew his love and fascination with cars, and did he have many over the years! If you started a conversation about cars, you better pull up a seat and be prepared to sit awhile. That boy knew everything there was about cars. We often said you could go to an Ohio State Football game, take a hubcap off any car in the parking lot, bring it to him, and he is going to tell you the year, make, and model of that car, down to the size of the engine. Cars were definitely his “super power.” Michael is survived by a very large family, who have loved him deeply since the day he was born. Most importantly, is his mom, Melanie. They had an unbreakable bond throughout his entire life; a relationship built on unconditional love, deep respect, and a connection that time could never erase. He looked to her for guidance, and always appreciated the sacrifices she made to give him the best life possible. Also surviving are his dad, Greg Williams, uncles, Matthew Waldron, Noah Waldron (Nicole), and Jake Waldon (Rayna), and aunts Carrie Waldron, Kimmy Waldron(Jason), and Holly Kitts(Nathan), cousins (who were truly like his siblings) Emma Henry, Logan and Nolan Jenkins, Nick and Nathaniel Waldron, babies Waylon and Maddox, and his daughters Emilia and Phynix Waldron, grandparents, Mike and Pam Wigal, Brianna Lemay (the mother of his daughters), his girlfriend, Elizabeth Wilt, his dog Maggie, trusted companion of 13 years, along with numerous great uncles and great aunts, and their children. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Michael Waldron, maternal great-grandparents Jack and Mitzi Riggs, and Windy and Carrie Waldron. Calling hours will be Thursday, August 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.
