Michael Anthony Downer, age 57, of Wellston, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020, at his home. He was born February 7, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio.  Michael was a 1981 graduate of Hamilton Township High School.  He retired as a counselor with Buckeye Community Services, where he was employed for 22 years.  Michael was a Cincinnati Reds fan, who enjoyed collecting baseballs and baseball cards.  He was also a collector of JFK memorabilia, as well as eagle and lighthouse figurines.  Michael is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Dearwester Warren; son, Mike Downer of Wellston; brother, Jack William Downer, Jr. (Arlene) of Pomeroy; sister, Mary Sue Furlong (Dennis) of Columbus; best friend and caregiver, Jeremy Bailey of Wellston; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jack William Downer, Sr.; his step-father, Ross J.
