Pastor Michael Maria Lynne " Mickey" Richardson, 50, of Wellston, passed away, Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born on January 24, 1975, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edmond Elwood and Wanda Mae Thomas Richardson. Mickey was a graduate of Bullitt Central High School, Shepherdsville, Kentucky. She received her B.A. in History and Communications at The University of the Cumberlands, formerly known as Cumberland University, in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Mickey received her Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. She was ordained an Elder and minister for the Global Methodist Church in 2023. She loved traveling, car camping, and impromptu adventures. She enjoyed her church service missions in the United States and Romania. Mickey enjoyed bluegrass music as well, lIIrd Tyme Out and Seldom Scene were among her favorites. In April of 2025 Mickey hosted a gospel Bluegrass festival, Hope in the Hills. Mickey loved her daughters and spent time supporting their interests. She was the Old Mill Elementary School PTO president in Mount Washington, KY and Team Mom for the Academic Team from 2011-2015. She is survived by her two daughters, Anna Grace Porter of Mount Washington, KY, and Ella Mae Porter of Wellston, Ohio; sister, Jacqueline Richardson Beardall (Russell) of Mount Washington, KY; brother Marke Wesley Richardson (Tammy) of Shepherdsville, KY; Nieces, Catharine Beardall Hudman (Justin) of Columbus, Indiana, Susahnah Beardall and Caroline Beardall of Louisville, Kentucky; nephews, Nikolas Beardall (Lauren) of Austin, Texas and Ellis Beardall of Omaha, Nebraska; great nieces and nephews, Todd Hudman, Cooper Hudman, Jack Hudman, Arya Hudman, Hazel Beardall, and Alice Beardall. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Athena. Besides her parents, Mickey was preceded in death by her husband John Christopher Porter, May 25, 2012; her infant sister, Michelle Leigh Richardson, November 11, 1968; and her niece Elisabeth Michael – Leah Beardall, January 1, 2021. Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 9, from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. at Wellston Hope Church. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 4 p.m. Burial, with graveside service will be on Wednesday, September 10 at 1p.m. at High View Cemetery in Chaplain, Kentucky, with Pastor Brad Martin officiating.
