Michael Nicholas Spanos, age 66, of Wellston, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio.  He was born August 6, 1957 in Newport News, Virginia to Nicholas Michael Spanos and Joyce Ann Dovell Spanos.  Mike graduated from Menchville High School in Newport News with the class of 1975.  He retired from Fabcon Precast in Grove City and was a member of the Ohio Brick Layers Union.  Mike enjoyed hunting and cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals, but what brought him the most enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Maggie.  He is survived by his mother, Joyce Spanos; his wife of 36 years, Tina C. Salmons Spanos; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Anthony "Tony" Spanos and Mary Emmaline "Emma" Spanos; grandchildren, Magdalene "Maggie" Spanos and Elijah Nicholas Spanos; sister, Patricia Tuttle (Dewitt); brother, Christopher Spanos; niece, Nichole Tuttle; and nephew, Doug Tuttle (Stacy).  He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Spanos.  Mike requested that cremation follow his passing.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mike's memory to the Sons of the American Legion Easter Egg Hunt, c/o American Legion Post 371, 1001 South Pennsylvania Ave., Wellston, Ohio 45692, or a favorite charity of one's choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
