Obituary

Michael Allen Workman, Sr., age 75, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his home.  He was born September 7, 1950 in Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, son of the late Francis Workman and Opal Truman Workman.  Mike was a veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam War.  He was a former employee of CSX Railroad.  Mike never met a stranger and always enjoyed a good conversation with others.  In his younger years, Mike enjoyed hunting and was very skilled at archery.  As time moved on and his family grew, he enjoyed spending the majority of his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra L. Belcher Workman; son, Michael Workman, Jr.; daughter, Lisa Hudson (Nathan); grandchildren, Scottie McClaskey, Mikie Workman III, Kyle McClaskey (Makayla), Austin Dyke (Amanda), Nolan Hudson, Kobe Hudson, and Cole Workman; great-grandchildren, Remington McClaskey, Walker McClaskey, Madison Snyder, and Kolton Snyder; along with several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.  Calling hours will be Sunday, January 4, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m.  Burial, with military honors, will be in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
