Michael Christopher Maynard, age 60, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home.  He was born March 14, 1964 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Luther Maynard, Jr. and Ruth Ann Darnell Maynard.  Mike was a former custodian for the Wellston City Schools where he was employed for 18 years.  He was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions and always enjoyed going fishing.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children, whom he was very very proud of.  Mike is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jeanie Elizabeth Harris Maynard; children, DJ Cantu, Christopher Maynard, and Elizabeth Maynard; grandson, Michael Cantu; siblings, Teresa Dallas (Sam), Tammy Pena (Rey), Kimberly Boyd (Bruce), and Philip Maynard (Angie); father-in-law, John Harris, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther Maynard, Sr. and Ruth Maynard, and his mother-in-law, Ruth Harris.  In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation followed his passing, and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
