Michael L. Dye, Sr., age 62, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born March 30, 1961 in Logan, Ohio to William P. Dye and Wanda M. James Dye.  Mike graduated from Logan High School with the class of 1979.  He was a machinist who retired from Diamond Power in Lancaster.  Mike enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR on T.V., and he loved listening to music.  He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan who enjoyed cheering on his favorite team.  Above all, Mike was a family man, and all of his extended family was also considered close family.  Spending time with his grandson, and watching him play sports, brought much joy to Mike's life.  He is survived by his mother, Wanda Dye of Logan; wife of 39 years, Kathy Sue Brown Dye; son, Michael L. "Mikey" Dye, Jr. of Wellston; grandson, Kayden Dye of Wellston; brother, Anthony Dye of Logan; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Mike was preceded in death by his father, Bill Dye; and his brother, Timothy Todd Dye.  Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 21st, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Don Kincaid officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
