Patty Burke Snider

  Patricia Ann “Patty” Burke Snider, age 65, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 28, 2026. She was born July 29, 1960 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert C. Burke and Marjorie A. Ely Burke. Patty graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1978 and went on to attend the Holzer Medical Center School of Nursing. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Master of Science in Nursing, both from Ohio University. Patty was a registered nurse, who after 14 years of employment, retired as the Associate Director of Undergraduate Nursing at Ohio University Athens. Outside of nursing, Patty’s life revolved around her family and her home. She was a very proud Mimi and Mamaw to Mavrik and loved spending every minute of her free time with him. Patty is survived by her husband of 40 years, Terry D. Snider; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Kelsey Snider; grandson, Mavrik Snider, along with a host of special friends. Calling hours will be Friday, July 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. A Nurse Honor Guard service and funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Pelletier officiating the funeral. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
