Patricia (Coyle) Wells Thacker, age 71, of Wellston, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at her home.  She was born August 28, 1952 in McArthur, Ohio, daughter of the late Ralph Edward Coyle and Betty Jane McFadden Coyle.  Patty was a 1970 graduate of Vinton County High School.  She was a former manager for the Vinton County Board of Developmental Disabilities and also a former employee of Vinton County Local Schools where she worked with the developmentally disabled children in the middle school.  Patty loved animals, especially her own dogs and cats, and she enjoyed taking care of her yard and working in her flowers.  Above all else, Patty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She attended both Pleasant Valley Trinity Church and Corinth Church.  Patty is survived by her children, Dr. Stephanie Wells-Mullins (Anthony) and Joshua Wells (Brook); grandchildren, Brandon Saunders, Hope Saunders, Olivia Wells, and Hayden Wells; great-grandchildren, Beau Saunders and Liam Womeldorf; brother, Ralph Coyle, Jr. (Beverly); sister, Teresa Christian (Ed); along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, including her lifelong best friend, Christyne Calvin.  A celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 13th, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Rev. Jim McFadden officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Patty be given to a humane society of one's choice.  Online condolences can be given to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
