Obituary

Paul D. Campbell, age 89, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his home.  He was born March 23, 1934 in Thurman, Ohio, son of the late Albert Campbell and Margaret Dillon Campbell.  Paul was a former employee of Worthington Steel in Worthington.  He later retired from Frick-Gallagher Manufacturing in Wellston, where he worked for 30 years.  Paul was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals.  He attended the Wellston Church of the Nazarene, and in years past, volunteered with the Wellston Recreation Department.  Paul is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anna Mae Finnerty Campbell; sons, Douglas Alan Campbell (Dana) of Circleville and Terry Jay Campbell of Batavia; grandchildren, Venessa Cottrell (Adrian) and Bethany Bolin (Van); great-grandchildren, Emerson Bolin and Trey Bolin; brothers, Robert Campbell (Liz) of Groveport and Richard Campbell (Joan) of Coalton; along with several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.  There will be no calling hours.  A public graveside service will be held Saturday, April 1st, at 2 p.m. at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston with Pastor Jim Griffith and Pastor Mark Clingan officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Paul's memory be given to the Wellston Church of the Nazarene, 39834 St. Rt. 93, Wellston, Ohio 45692.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
