Obituary

Phyllis "Tootie" Keller, age 95, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Buckeye Forest Nursing Facility in Jackson.  She was born March 2, 1929 in Cripple Creek, Virginia, to the late Homer R. Riggle and Della Quesenberry Riggle.  Tootie graduated from Oak Hill High School with the class of 1947.  She was a housewife, and former licensed insurance agent with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.  In her spare time, Tootie loved to golf and always enjoyed spending time with her sisters.  She was a member of Fairgreens Country Club and Franklin Valley Golf Course.  Tootie is survived by her two sons, Gary W. Keller (Robin) of Jackson, and Paul Steven Keller (Kathy) of Columbus; grandchildren, Brian Keller, Eric (Jordan) Keller, Brenton Keller, Annalynn Keller, Stephanie (Tim) Robinette, Amy (Terra) Wills, and Melinda (Ian) Craddock; great-grandchildren, Madison Keller, Reese Keller, Drew Keller, Nicholas Robinette, Elliot Craddock, and Jace Kinzer; and brother, Richard Riggle.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack W. Keller in 2012; brothers Robert "Bob" Riggle and Wiley "Bill" Riggle, and sisters, Lucille Davis, Pearl Parks, and Lillian Lewis.  Special thanks to the staff at Buckeye Forest for their care of Tootie for the last 26 months.  A private service for the family will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tootie's memory can be given to a favorite charity of one's choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
